Are deals cheaper on Black Friday?
Black Friday has evolved drastically over the years, from a one-day-only blowout to a weekend-long event topped off with Cyber Monday. Now, deals are sprinkled out even months ahead, per Commerce Editor Jacqueline Saguin.
Historically, the vast majority of deals have scattered across the weekend after Thanksgiving, with the steepest cuts landing day of — though, there are exceptions. Some surprising record low prices on things like Apple products are already happening in the weeks leading up.
Is Black Friday a good time to buy furniture?
Yes! Just like any big-ticket item, furniture is likely to see some hefty discounts, says Saguin. If you’re looking to get all your shopping done in one place, last year, major retailers like Lowe’s offered up to 50% off living room furniture; Amazon had 75% off top-selling rugs; Wayfair held a massive sale of up to 80% off; and Walmart took 65% off select furniture.
